Dependent Care
You can benefit by participating in a dependent care account, which covers expenses for child care for the year. Qualifying expenses include:

  • Child care for children under age 13 by babysitters, nursery schools, preschools or day care centers

  • In-home services performed by a full-time, live-in housekeeper who cares for qualified individuals

  • Services for members of a family who are unable to care for themselves and who are dependent for more than one-half of their support. (If care is provided outside the home, the dependent must spend at least eight hours per day in the home.)
